Three of the guys ahead of me are saying they will decline or are ineligible. I should be going to New York to compete against the 31 other fastest (and eligible) racers in what I assume is some sort of round robin racing tournament from which the top 16 go to Silverstone to compete in the Boot Camp. Winner gets to be a race car driver!

Nothing is official yet. Those who qualified on time have already started booking flights, but none of the other alternates have been contacted yet. All information about those who aren't going seems to be pretty solid though.

Except they excluded Quebec, which was stupid. If Sony and Nissan have the money to run this type of program worldwide, they can afford to have a handful of documents translated so that 1/5 of the country's population isn't excluded... And in any case, I'm bitching about nothing 'cause I'm too old to start a professional race career, eligible or not.

One of the guys who was faster than me was excluded because he is in Quebec. It sucks to be fast and not eligible. I literally know what it feels like, since this is the first year for any Canadians.
